2016년~2020년2017_재가 미혼모의 홀로서기 경험 연구: 탈시설 과정을 중심으로_장온정

• 영문초록 : Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify practical strategies to enhance the resilience of unwed mothers in the de-institutionalization process. Methods: The author conducted 10 qualitative- research interviews with unwed mothers living in a facility. The study categorized main issues in the interviews. Results: The researcher identified 18 sub-topics in 3 stages. In the “facility dwelling” stage, the subtopics included “refuge & protected location,” “connecting facilities,” and “low effectiveness in self-support.” In the “de-institutionalization” stage, the subtopics were “unexpected exit from the facilities,” “insufficient preparation in the course of getting out,” and “anxious first steps.” In the “after de-institutionalization” stage, the subtopics were “unconquered poverty,” “restricted relationship networks,” and “ongoing confusion.” Conclusion: The researcher suggested several practical policies needed for unwed mother to escape from poverty: making new strategies for unwed mothers, customizing independent support services, strengthening support for parental rights of unwed mothers, and building integrated systems in supporting unwed mothers.

본 연구의 목적은 재가 미혼모의 홀로서기 경험을 통해 미혼모 자립 강화를 위한 실천적 지원 전략을 모색하는 것이다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위해서 시설보호를 경험한 재가 미혼모 10명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 질적 사례분석을 하였다. 범주화 및 주제 분석을 통해서 이들이 경험한 주요 이슈를 범주화하였으며 분석결과는 다음과 같다, 재가 미혼모들의 홀로서기 경험의 주제를 살펴보면 시설 거 주단계는 ‘도피처 & 보호처’, ‘시설연계’, ‘낮은 실효성의 자립지원’ 탈시설 과정 단계는 ‘예상보다 빠른 퇴소’, ‘퇴소를 위한 준비미흡’, ‘불안한 첫걸음’, 탈시설 이후 단계는 ‘극복되지 않은 빈곤’, ‘제한적인 관계망’, ‘계속되는 방황’이며 각 주제별 18개의 하위주제를 도출하였다. 이를 근거로 미혼모의 탈빈곤 을 위한 차별적 전략, 맞춤식 자립 지원서비스 모색, 공동생활가정 시설 입소기준 및 관리 개선, 미혼 모의 부모권 보장을 위한 지원강화, 미혼모 관련 지원 및 정보에 관한 통합된 시스템 구축 등의 실천 방안을 제언하였다.
