• 영문초록 : The primary objectives of this research is to identify (1) socio-demographic characteristics and (2) factors that correlates their stress and (3) factors that predicts the degrees of their stress. This study uses the data based on interviews with 121 adolescent unmarried mothers selected purposive sampling from the 5 unmarried mothers protective facilities in Seoul, Pyungtak, Chounchon, Taegu, and Gwanju. The major findings were as follows. First of all, the mean age of adolescent unmarried mothers was full 19 years old and their average education attainment was high school graduate. The mean age of their first sexual experience was full 17 years old and 31.5% of them had abortion experiences. The pros and cons for the adolescent sexual relation were 49.2% and 50.8% and the sexual relation under compulsion was 18.4% and pregnancy experience of their friends including repeated pregnancy was 72.4%. In social support category, emotional, informative, material, decisive support and in social support resource, father, mother, brother and sister support had negative correlation with the stress of adolescent unmarried mother. In the adolescent sex, the age of the first sexual activity and my thought on the adolescent sex had positive correlation with the stress of adolescent unmarried mother. Especially, the age of the first sexual activity predicted the stress of adolescent unmarried mother. Therefore, the social welfare service program development, the comprehensive and systematic intervention programs, and the institutional support systems should be required to ensure that they cope with the stress of adolescent unmarried mother.

본 연구의 목적은 청소년 미혼모의 스트레스에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴보는 것이다. 특히 청소년 미혼모의 일반적인 특성은 어떠하며 이러한 특성들이 사회적 지지와 더불어서 청소년 스트레스와 상관관계를 갖는지 그리고 이들 요인이 청소년 미혼모의 스트레스에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상자들은 만14세-만24세 청소년 미혼모들로서 전국의 미혼모보호시설 5곳에 보호되어 있는 총121명으로 구성되었다. 분석결과 조사대상자의 평균연령은 19세로 현재 무직이며 고졸이 가장 많았다. 첫 성경험의 평균나이는 17세였으며 낙태경험이 있는 경우가 31.5%이었다. 청소년 성관계에 대한 찬성과 반대가 각각 49.2%, 50.8%로 나타났으며 강제로 성관계를 한 경우가 18.4%이었고 친구들의 임신경험은 재임신을 포함해서 72.4%로 나타났다. 사회적 지지의 유형에서 정서적지지, 정보적지지, 물질적지지, 평가적지지와 그리고 사회적지지원에서 아빠지지, 엄마지지, 형제지지와 청소년 미혼모의 스트레스는 부적인 상관관계를 나타내었다. 청소년 성관계에 관한 태도에서는 첫 성경험 나이, 청소년 성관계에 대한 나의 생각이 스트레스와 부적인 상관관계를 나타내었고, 친구들의 성관계 정도는 스트레스와 정적인 상관관계를 나타내었다. 특히 첫 성경험 나이는 청소년 미혼모의 스트레스를 예측하는 중요한 변인인 것을 발견하였다. 이러한 결과를 통해 청소년 미혼모의 스트레스에 대처하기 위해서 필요한 사회복지서비스 프로그램 개발, 전문적 원조체계의 도입, 그리고 제도적 지원 방안이 시급함을 제안하였다.
