• 영문초록 : The objectives of this research is to identify (1) socio-demographic characteristics and (2) factors that correlates the age at unwed mother's pregnancy and (3) factors that predicts the age at unwed mother's pregnancy. This study uses the data based on surveys with 192 unwed mothers selected purposive sampling from the 6 unmarried mothers protective facilities in Seoul, Pyungtak, Chunchon, Taegu, Chungju, and Gwangju, and 1 unwed mother's shelter in Seoul. The major findings were as follows. First of all, 38.6% was full 17-full 19 years old and 47.4% was school drop-out. Second, the age at unwed mother's pregnancy was statistically negatively correlated with the abuse experience, delinquency's experience, mother's school career, peer's delinquency, and school drop-out. And the age at unwed mother's pregnancy was statistically positively correlated with sexuality knowledge, career decision level, and graduate. Third, statistically significantly factors with it were school drop-out, peer's delinquency, sexuality knowledge, and career decision level. Based on the results, the intervention strategies were suggested.

본 연구에서는 미혼모의 임신 연령과 관련된 요인들을 살펴보았다. 이를 위하여 미혼모 보호시설과 쉼터에서 보호를 받고 있는 만14세-만28세 미혼모 192명을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 조사대상자의 연령은 만17세-만19세가 38.6%로 가장 많았으며 학교 등록상태는 중퇴가 47.4%로 가장 많이 차지하였다. 미혼모의 임신 연령과 통계적으로 유의미한 상관관계를 가지는 개인 요인은 성지식, 학대경험, 비행수준, 그리고 진로결정수준인 것으로 나타났다. 또래 요인에서는 친구의 비행이 미혼모의 임신 연령과 통계적으로 유의미한 부적이며 강한 상관관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 학교 요인에서는 학교중퇴와 학력이 미혼모의 임신 연령과 통계적으로 유의미한 강한 상관관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 미혼모의 임신 연령에 대한 예측변인으로 학교 중퇴, 친구의 비행, 성지식, 그리고 진로결정 수준 변인이 나타났으며 특히 학교중퇴는 가장 큰 설명력을 가진 예측변인인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 조사결과에 기반 하여 미혼모의 이른 연령의 임신을 예방하고 이에 개입하기 위해 고려되어야 할 접근방안에 대해서 제시하였다.
